KLM UK Engineering & Alliance Airlines Pty Ltd Sign Long-term Heavy Maintenance Contract

Paris, Amstelveen, Norwich – August 2018 – AFI KLM E&M subsidiary is delighted to announce the signing of a long-term heavy maintenance agreement with Alliance Airlines Pty Ltd.

KLM UK Engineering will be supporting Alliance Airlines with their Fokker 70/100 aircraft, providing heavy maintenance support in Norwich from summer 2018.

Graham Casbourne, Sales Manager, said ‘KLM UK Engineering is delighted to continue to support Alliance Airlines with their Fokker 70/100 maintenance, following on from checks carried out in 2017. This long-term agreement further cements the relationship and trust between our companies and we look forward to developing this further during the contract.’

Lee Schofield, Chief Executive Officer of Alliance Airlines, said ‘We are very pleased to lock in this long-term arrangement with KLM UK Engineering.  We will be operating Fokker 70/100 for at least the next ten years and the maintenance support provided by KLM UK Engineering will assist us greatly during this time.’

KLM UK Engineering Provides Line Maintenance Support for TUI 

KLM UK Engineering will be supporting TUI with their Boeing 737NG’s aircraft providing line maintenance support in Aberdeen during the summer operation.

Wayne Easlea, Operations Director – ‘KLM UK Engineering will be supporting Boeing 737NG aircraft for TUI at our line maintenance station in Aberdeen. This follow’s previous support for TUI in recent years at our other line stations in the UK & are pleased to be supporting them during their busy summer operations’.

KLM UK Engineering is delighted to confirm a line maintenance contract with easyJet, for the support of their Airbus A320 Family aircraft at Aberdeen & look forward to developing this relationship further over the coming years.

KLM UK Engineering & SAS Sign Line Maintenance Agreement

AFI KLM E&M subsidiary is delighted to announce the signing of a line maintenance agreement with SAS.

KLM UK Engineering will be supporting SAS with their Boeing 737 & Airbus A320 Family aircraft providing line maintenance support in Edinburgh & Aberdeen commencing early 2018.

Ian Bartholomew, Director Business Development & Sales – "We will be supporting SAS with both the Boeing & A320 aircraft at our established line maintenance stations in Edinburgh & Aberdeen. We are delighted to support SAS at these line stations and look forward to developing the relationship further over the coming years".

KLM UK Engineering Partners with Vision Concept Aviation Training Institute (VCATI)

 

April 2018 – KLM UK Engineering is delighted to announce the signing of a long-term partnership with VCATI for the provision of EASA Part 147 exams supported by KLM UK Engineering’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Software.

Under the agreement KLM UK Engineering will support VCATI’s successful Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Engineering Technology programmes by providing experienced examiners and VLE to allow the students to gain their EASA Part 66 B1.1 & B2 licence.

VCATI has arrangements in place to supplement the online training with tutorials from industry veterans so that students can qualify while they are employed in good time with top results. Captain Mohamed Obaid Al Suwaidi, Founder of VCATI says “We are committed to the needs of the aviation industry. We launched our student courses last year with intake for the A1 & A2 aircraft maintenance engineering program due to high industry demand and employment potential in the field. Our partnership with KLM UK Engineering to offer B1.1 & B2 qualifications online will open opportunities to hundreds of technicians and workers in the aviation industry to enhance their careers by qualifying for high potential jobs. Our own students acquiring A1 & A2 licenses next year can take up employment and pursue a higher qualification without having to take a gap year.”

Whilst, Ian Bartholomew, Director Business Development & Sales of KLM UK Engineering added: “The partnership with VCATI is another step forward in our aim to connect KLM UK Engineering’s VLE products to many young engineers in the UK and abroad. The industry needs many good engineers for the future to accommodate the growing worldwide fleet and to replace inevitable retirements.
