KLM UK Engineering Partners with Vision Concept Aviation Training Institute (VCATI)

 

April 2018 – KLM UK Engineering is delighted to announce the signing of a long-term partnership with VCATI for the provision of EASA Part 147 exams supported by KLM UK Engineering’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) Software.

Under the agreement KLM UK Engineering will support VCATI’s successful Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering and Advanced Diploma in Aircraft Engineering Technology programmes by providing experienced examiners and VLE to allow the students to gain their EASA Part 66 B1.1 & B2 licence.

VCATI has arrangements in place to supplement the online training with tutorials from industry veterans so that students can qualify while they are employed in good time with top results. Captain Mohamed Obaid Al Suwaidi, Founder of VCATI says “We are committed to the needs of the aviation industry. We launched our student courses last year with intake for the A1 & A2 aircraft maintenance engineering program due to high industry demand and employment potential in the field. Our partnership with KLM UK Engineering to offer B1.1 & B2 qualifications online will open opportunities to hundreds of technicians and workers in the aviation industry to enhance their careers by qualifying for high potential jobs. Our own students acquiring A1 & A2 licenses next year can take up employment and pursue a higher qualification without having to take a gap year.”

KLM UK Engineering & BA CityFlyer Sign Line Maintenance Extension

AFI KLM E&M subsidiary is delighted to announce the signing of an extension to its line maintenance agreement with BA CityFlyer.

Market leaders in the best total value for money in regional and narrow body aircraft maintenance on the Boeing 737, Embraer 170/190, BAe146/Avro RJ, Fokker 70/100 & Airbus A320 Family, KLM UK Engineering is delighted to confirm its contract with BA CityFlyer and pleased to announce they have reached agreement to increase the level of line maintenance support they are providing BA CityFlyer on their ERJ170/190 aircraft.

KLM UK Engineering & Braathens Regional Sign Contract for Airframe Maintenance

AFI KLM E&M subsidiary is delighted to announce the signing of a long-term airframe maintenance contract with Braathens Regional Airlines.

KLM UK Engineering commenced airframe maintenance checks with Braathens Regional on their BAe 146/ARJ fleet during 2017.

KLM UK Engineering & Finnair Sign Line Maintenance

KLM UK Engineering will be supporting Finnair with their Embraer E190 & Airbus A320 Family aircraft providing line maintenance support in Edinburgh commencing early 2018.

KLM UK Engineering implements Nedap’s Luxon light management platform

KLM UK Engineering Limited, a maintenance repair organisation of AFIKLM E&M Network in the United Kingdom, has implemented Nedap’s Luxon light management platform, allowing KLM UK Engineering Limited to manage its new hangar lighting online. The use of connected LED lighting will result in significant energy savings, which is completely in line with the company's sustainability goals.
